JJ Reynolds-Strange

I am a third year PhD student in the history department. I specialize in modern Chinese history. My research interests pertains to the development and distribution of translated scientific nomenclature (with heavy emphasis on biochemistry fields) in China from the late nineteenth century to the late twentieth century. I am building on work already done during my master’s degree and expanding by examining the relationship between scientists, state-sponsored modernity initiatives, and the materials used in education.
