Abstract

The Center for East Asian Studies presented an in-person talk, “The Development of the Figure of the Female Scientific Inventor in Classical Chinese Fiction,” by University of Bochum (Germany) PhD candidate in Sinology and former UW-Madison visiting student Sabine Weber. Her research focuses on representations and perceptions of technology and knowledge transfer in late Qing Dynasty fiction.
