Title

Chinese Acupressure Techniques for Reducing Stress and Calming the Mind

Abstract

Dr. Xiping Zhou conducted a special hands-on session for students on relieving stress and pain through simple acupressure techniques. Based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, acupressure involves pressing on specific points such as the head or along the spine. Targeting these acupressure points can provide relief for a range of physical and emotional conditions such as headaches, neck and lower back pain, as well as anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Dr. Zhou discussed the ideas behind acupressure and demonstrated simple techniques to students during the event.
