Advising Program

The advisor regularly holds information sessions for undergraduates and graduate students to provide information on the East Asian degree options, study abroad, scholarship opportunities, and career options. The advisor routinely assists in the transfer of credits from other study abroad programs, and keeps students all over campus interested in East Asia. Check the CEAS events calendar for upcoming information sessions regarding East Asian Studies.

PLEASE NOTE that the new advisor for the Asian Studies Major with a concentration in East Asia, and also the East Asian Studies Certificate, is:

Mike Cullinane(mmcullin@wisc.edu).

Mike is a faculty associate in the Center for Southeast Asian Studies. He can meet with students by appointment or at the following times:

Wednesdays, 2-5 p.m., 207 Ingraham Hall (Southeast Asia Center)

Tuesdays, 1-2 p.m. and Wednesdays, noon - 1 p.m., 331 Ingraham Hall

(In summer 2015, advisor Dreux Mongomery took a job at UC-Berkeley. We are excited for Dreux and his family to take on this new adventure in sunny California. However, the International Studies community will miss his thoughtful insight and  willingness to welcome students in a variety of languages.)
