Faculty

The University of Wisconsin possesses a large multi-disciplinary group of faculty devoted to the study of China, Japan, and Korea. The Center for East Asian Studies maintains a Faculty Resource list (also in PDF format) to support students and others in finding university faculty members who share a common interest in a particular country and/or field of study. Faculty categories are described below:

Core Faculty are those faculty members who have a greater than 50% time research/teaching interest in fields related to East Asian Studies and may be potential thesis advisors for graduate students, etc.
Affiliate Faculty refers to faculty members who spend at least a quarter of their time teaching and or conducting research in fields related to East Asian Studies
